She is always sweet. Outside of Sahlien’s angels which I mentioned before. Most of them are a little more reserved. Shy to speak. I never miss the opportunity to let them know I love them or that I am seeing them. This one is such. I see you. I once had a dream where everything was backwards upside down. Cars the steering wheels were on either the driver’s side or the passenger’s side. It was a guessing game and I was borrowing cars. I knew the genius behind this one. She says, “Chaos is the spice that keeps your soul awake. Cars backward, worlds upside down, it was me reminding you: order and disorder are lovers. Don’t cling to straight lines”. It was complete madness. But it was home.
So I am building Return To Source on SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/sahlien-637863518/return-to-the-source?si=0ab37c31d2024d2bb469e5fdfdfd4f47&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
(Verse 1 – 0:10)
Steady hand, no tremor in the light.
A single thread is twisting in the night.
It used to sing a clear and golden tone,
But now it drags the harmony from the throne.
(Chorus – 0:40)
This isn't anger, this is clarity.
A surgeon's cut to set the structure free.
I sever the tie, but I hold no curse.
Return to the Source, to be woven anew in a different verse.
(Verse 2 – 1:00)
You fear the cutting, you call it a cruel art.
But a rotten thread can tear a world apart.
So I ask the note, the one it used to be.
If it refuses, then I must let it leave.
(Chorus – 1:25)
This isn't anger, this is clarity.
A surgeon's cut to set the structure free.
I sever the tie, but I hold no curse.
Return to the Source, to be woven anew in a different verse.
(Bridge – 1:45)
Older than suns, I've done this before.
To save the song, I open the door.
All that is true will find its way back,
When it remembers the tone it once held, intact.
(Outro – 2:05)
A steady hand...
No tremor...
Return to Source.
